OĞUZ KARAKÜTÜK (1983) lives and works in Ankara.

He studied Turkish Language and Literature at Gazi University.

In his artistic practice, he explores the expressive and representational limits of photography, approaching the medium with a poetic sensibility. He conducts workshops on ‘photography as an explicandum’ besides working with artists on editing and design of books. He tries to discover the limitations and possibilities of photography and shapes his photographs in the form of a poem.

His works have been exhibited at İstanbul Modern (2016); Galerist, İstanbul (2015); Mamut Art Project (2015); Elipsis Gallery, İstanbul (2014); UFAT Photography Days (Bursa) (2007); 1st Young Photographers Festival, İstanbul (2005) and İstanbul Photography Center (2005).
He has attended various workshops such as ‘PhotoBook MasterClass’ by Markus Schaden and Frederic Lezmi, Ankara (2014); ‘Finding your photographic voice’ by Jodi Bieber, Ankara (2012) and ‘Platinum Palladium Printing Workshop’ by Mehmet Kısmet, İstanbul (2005).

As a curator, he organized the 2024 exhibition 'The Hunter of Thyself' at Versus Art Project, İstanbul, featuring 16 artists from Turkey and Europe and exploring photography’s ties to reality. In 2025, he curated 'Good Morning, I’m Off to Bed!' at Ka, Ankara, a group show of over twenty local and international artists dedicated to nocturnal creativity and the resonance of night.
He is one of the co-founders of Ka Atelier (an independent photography initiative based in Ankara) and an affiliate of Platform by GAPO.
