EKİN ÖZBİÇER - SLAVIA

‘Slavia’ is a series about Prague and its surrounding towns. Taken between 2011 and 2012, when I lived in Prague, these pictures seek to capture the melancholy and inertia I observed during my daily encounters. 
I often wondered if this sense of desolation was caused by years of totalitarian oppression imposed upon these people, or was already ingrained in the culture and climate of the land.
